What Did We Do in July? Harry Potter 2 & Wedding Dress Shopping!

July 15-17th Weekend
On Thursday night, we decided to be wild and crazy and had our friends Michael and Angelyn over to wash part 1 of the Harry Potter finale. Then, on Friday, we joined the crowds and Part 2. I loved that movie and the whole series actually. It almost made me want to read the entire series…almost. Actually, it has landed on my Amazon Wish List…
On Saturday, we just did the norm and ran some errands, paid bills, laundry…you know the drill. I write about this, because maybe one day, this won’t be the norm? We were pretty busy making preparations for our closing that got pushed back from Friday to the next Wednesday. On Saturday, I left town for Atlanta and Jason hung around to teach on Sunday. He ended up hanging out with some guys from our church small group. Jason also had some last minute studying for his finals that next week. And, while I was gone, you can bet he spent plenty of time in front of the piano and Macbook playing around with music.
Meanwhile in Marietta, I got to see some of the venues that my sister Kristen is considering for her upcoming wedding in April. We also went dress shopping, some on Saturday, and some on Sunday. And she even ending up finding “the one” on Sunday! It is beautiful! On Saturday night, I went to dinner at the Marietta Diner, which had excellent food in HUGE portions. I really wish this place was in Augusta!

Really cool from the outside…
Awesome (looking) desserts that we didn’t even try because we were so stuffed! ๐Ÿ™

Cute hats for the kiddies. That’s my sis and my dad.

The next day we went to church, had lunch at home, watched some home movies of when me and Kristen were really little, etc. Somehow, I ended up going to Michael’s with all the kids in search of a good art project. L painted a piggy bank, L and Lil S each painted a little castle-shaped bird house, and Big S made hair pins with fake flowers. We also enjoyed dancing outside to Cupid’s Shuffle while painting….lots of fun! I decided to buy a canvas and do an art project that I found on Pinterest. I’ll write about this in more detail on another post I think.
