What I’m Lovin’ Wednesdays

Inspired by my pal Lesley-Anne and her alliteration posts, I’m going to do one called “What I’m Loving Wednesdays”. These posts will be kind of a random grouping of things, products, and gadgets that I think are cool.

1. Eagan Mirror by Pottery Barn. I love how versatile this mirror is. I love mirrors, but somehow feel that if there is too many of them in a room, it gets monotonous and boring. However, this mirror is so intricate in itself that it’s half mirror/half piece of artwork. Plus, Jason and I are recreating our own cheaper version of this mirror right now! Stay tuned for a future post.

2. TurboTax. This time of the year reveals the inner financial geek inside of me. I get really really excited about taxes, and TurboTax is the perfect partner to this excitedness. TurboTax makes doing your taxes fun! It guides you through all the various aspects of your taxes as you watch the little $ ticker at the top add up your return! I’m getting really impatient with the few final items that we haven’t received in the mail yet that are holding me back *cough* Charles Schwab *cough*.

3. Duraflame Logs. Is there anything quite like a weeknight watching a movie next to the fire? My hubby has quickly learned the way to my heart is through a fire+movie and we especially love the no clean-up associated with doing it the modern way with Duraflame logs.
4. Harry Potter. Yes, Jason and I are a bit behind with the whole Harry Potter craze. We never read the books (I made it about halfway through the first I think), and we didn’t even see but one or two of the movies way back when the series first started. However, I was recently informed that we HAD to do a Harry Potter marathon and either read all the books (too time consuming), or watch all the movies in a row. With the help of my next favorite thing, we accomplished this task and even saw the last one at the movie theater last week. Harry we love you.
5. Netflix. #5 is part of what enables #3 and #4. What are fires without movies to accompany them? And what good are movies unless you have an online library of every movie ever known to man? I am truly smitten with Netflix, although it is a little frustrating when we forget to update our queue and get a disappointment in the mailbox. Note: if you’re a runner, make sure you watch: The Spirit of the Marathon – it’s streaming!
6. A good pair of shoes. I have worn a hand-me-down pair of Merrell’s for almost a year now, and they still seem brand new. They are the comfiest shoes I have ever owned and I change into them the moment I walk through the door after work – that and my trusty black pants. Anywho, I’ll be buying these if and when my old ones ever wear out…
7. Hillsong. My favorite music bar-none. If you don’t own one (or all) of their albums, drop what your doing, and head to the closest Lifeway or Family Christian Bookstores. Their albums are anointed and bring me into worship at the click of a button. We bought tickets to go see them live in Atlanta in March and I’m super-stoked. Here’s some clips from their new album:

8. Words with Friends. My favorite new app, Words with Friends lets you play scrabble throughout the day. This has definitely added some fun to my day. Plus I’m increasing my vocabulary! If you want to play with me, my username is lbaareman.

So what are you lovin’ this Wednesday?

  2. I love "words with friends" AND yes, Spirit of the Marathon — thank you for the recommendation. It has been on my movie "to do list" forever! Happy Wednesday!

  3. I knew y'all would love Harry Potter! Promise me you'll at least try to read them at some point. It took me about 3 months to read the series in my free time and if I didn't have a ton of other things I want to read I would have already reread them several times. I love you Harry Potter!

You are loving some great things 🙂
