21 Weeks!

How Far Along? 21 Weeks as of Sunday
Total Weight Gain/Loss: +10 – definitely feeling bigger these days!
Baby Related Purchases: Since we found out that we are having a girl, we finally have a clue about what to buy! The two dresses on the right are the two that we bought at Target on the day we found out we were having a girl. The other stuff (some headbands, caps, 2 bibs, shorts, and lamb stuffed animal) is some gifts that Jason’s co-workers got for him today!

We spent a lot of time (probably over 2 hours!) at Babies R’ Us this past Saturday, officially registering for stuff for baby Lucy. It was quite an exhausting experience, but really fun too! However, it made me realize just how much stuff you need for a baby! We didn’t register for everything that the “list” told us to, but I’m just now realizing that we might be spending quite a bit of money this summer!

Last week, I posted this photo as my inspiration for our nursery. Since our future is a bit up in the air right now,  we are trying to hold off on most purchases. However, when I found the perfect quilt to use in our future nursery on Etsy, we decided to go ahead and get it.

I also must have WAY to much free time on my hands (that, or I’m good at procrastinating…) because I even made this “Mood Board” on Olioboard that has helped me start planning what I would like in the room.

Stretch marks: Nope, but still got some itchy skin.
Sleep: Sleep pretty good, although it is really hard to not sleep on my back.
Movement: Feeling more movements these days. They are still pretty light, but more consistent. I love it when I feel her move! I think Jason even got to feel her a little bit this week too.
What I miss: Still missing having more variety in my wardrobe. Missing Advil – since my back starts hurting sometimes in the evening, and normally I just deal with it.
Cravings: Still have late night snack attacks, but this week you can combine it with mid-morning snack attacks! Basically, I feel like I eat all day long. Also, I’m starting to feel like the “fat kid” who thinks about food 24/7. I’m constantly thinking about food, what I can eat next, sad that I can’t eat because I’m full, etc. It’s kinda funny.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope!
Gender: GIRL! So excited ๐Ÿ™‚
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: My back aches when I sit on the couch at night, so I’ve been propping this large, sturdy pillow behind me. Another clear symptom is eating more!
Belly Button In or Out? In
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Feeling happy this week that the ultrasound went well and that the baby is healthy!
Worries: I did some back extensions at the gym the other day, then started to freak out that maybe I had hurt little Lucy. Jason assured me that everything was probably fine, but told me that I needed to change up some of the stuff I was doing at the gym. Good-bye crunches!!!!
Best moments this week: It has been so long since I posted last (since I skipped Week 20). Two weekends ago we were busy hanging out with friends! On Friday night, we watched Footloose and had dinner (Chicken and Stuffing with yummy chocolate pie) with the Vaughans. The movie was so good, we decided to watch another 80’s classic – Dirty Dancing on Sunday night. We cooked some Hawaiian Chicken with fresh pineapple and Butterscotch Bars – both were so good! On Saturday, we hung out with Elizabeth and Josh. We had some pizza together, hung out and talked, and got to play with their adorable little girl – Nora-Kate. We enjoyed Valentine’s Day by finding out we were having a girl. On Wednesday, we had Bible Study and right afterwards went to Carrabba’s for our belated V-day dinner. This past weekend was rainy and cold, and we spent most of it just relaxing and spending time together (+ some cleaning and some registering).
Looking forward to: Now that I know she’s a girl, I think I have to wait 19 more weeks for the next big moment! I hope I can wait that long!
Size of Baby: Approx. the size of a banana.

What Baby’s Up To: (from BabyCenter
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long โ€” the length of a banana. You may soon feel like she’s practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby’s eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you’re having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well.
